Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VIK.LIFE handles personal data collected through this website and early-access enquiries.

Version 1.0Effective: 13 October 2026

1. Who we are

VIK.LIFE is operated from Hong Kong. For personal data handled through this website, VIK.LIFE acts as the data user under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (the “PDPO”).

Business address

15F, Radio City, 505 Hennessy Road,
Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

2. The data protection principles

We handle personal data in line with the six Data Protection Principles in Schedule 1 to the PDPO: fair collection; use for the purpose for which data was collected or a directly related purpose; data quality and retention controls; security; transparency about our policies and practices; and access and correction rights.

We collect only information that is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose. We do not ask visitors to send identity documents, payment-card details, special categories of data or confidential cargo documents by email.

3. What we collect

  • Technical information: information your browser sends to a web server, such as approximate device and browser details, requested pages, timestamps and security logs.
  • Contact information: your name, work email, phone number, organisation, role and the contents of an enquiry when you contact us.
  • Business context: route, service or onboarding information that you choose to include in an early-access request.

The website does not currently provide public account registration, payment processing, advertising profiles or behavioural analytics.

4. How we use personal data

We may use personal data to:

  • operate, secure and troubleshoot this website;
  • respond to your enquiry and discuss VIK.LIFE access, products or services;
  • prepare or perform a requested business relationship;
  • maintain business correspondence and records;
  • detect misuse, fraud, security incidents or other unlawful activity; and
  • meet obligations under applicable law.

We will not use your personal data for direct marketing unless we have first provided the information required by the PDPO and obtained your consent where the PDPO requires it. You may opt out of direct marketing at any time by emailing ai@vik.life.

5. Disclosure and service providers

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose it to people who need it to provide the requested service, such as hosting, email, security, professional or technology providers. Those providers may process data only for agreed purposes, under confidentiality and security obligations, and with access limited to what they need.

We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a corporate transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality measures.

6. Transfers outside Hong Kong

Some service providers may process information outside Hong Kong. Where personal data is transferred outside Hong Kong, we use contractual, organisational or other safeguards appropriate to the PDPO and the nature of the information, and we require recipients to protect it and use it only for the agreed purpose. We will not make a transfer that would put the data subject at a level of protection materially lower than the protection required by applicable Hong Kong privacy law.

7. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to establish or defend legal rights, to manage a requested business relationship, or to meet a legal or accounting requirement. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer identify you.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures suited to the risks, including access controls, authentication, secure configuration, confidentiality commitments, monitoring and incident response. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through an ordinary email enquiry.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

This static site uses only technologies needed to deliver pages and protect the service. If we introduce non-essential cookies, analytics or similar technologies, we will update this Policy and provide any notice or choice required by applicable law before using them.

10. Access and correction

Under the PDPO, you may request access to personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct data that is inaccurate. You may also ask questions about our data policies and practices. Send your request to ai@vik.life with enough information for us to identify the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will handle requests in accordance with the PDPO and may charge a fee where the law permits.

11. Children

This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek personal data from children through this site.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when our services, data practices or legal obligations change. The latest version will be posted on this page with its effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice where required.
